Songs of the Seven
Many people in Artrune know Exotasia only as the black swamps of the south. The land is plagued by swamplands that are so harsh that they have been known to consume entire cities. Life is hard here, but the people of any given town share a great companionship, though welcome outsiders warmly, as they often come from sunken towns. People believe in a order of relationships that dictate the order of the world that should be maintained. The most important of these is between husband and wife, and the whole town pitches in for every wedding, no matter how low born those in the ceremony are.
Exotasia’s political scene is ever shifting, as it is hard to keep maps or for houses to hold on to power. The only city that has been saved from complete annihilation is the capital, which has still lost sectors of its land to the sinkholes, and many worry that soon it will succumb to the swamps. The people here say that if you go all the way south, there is a magical spirit being who will save you from the sinkholes.
